UK racks up record games sales
The UK registered a bumper year for the sale of video games and consoles in 2002, according to industry figures published today.
UK sales of leisure software and hardware reached a record £2.07bn in 2002 - up eight per cent on 2001.
This record sale is a clear indication that piracy cuts down on revenues of software publishers, and therefore the DMCA must be in enacted as quickly as possible in the UK. Any delay in the lawmaking process could mean that there may be another video games sales record in 2003! *gasp*
-and the crowd goes wild.
