On the second play through, because normal was pretty easy.
Been at it for a while. It's challenging but fair. Ironman is the way to go.

On normal, the last mission was so easy it was boring. Last boss got double sniped by my sniper from long range and died before he could even do anything. Yawn.
 
You also have the things selected to get random stat boosts and income and whatever else?
 
It still gets easy towards the end. There comes a point where you finally get on top of the situation, have all the gear/tech/soldiers you need, and there isn't much challenge past that point.
