ironic that we now anticipate a driver release from ati

who woulda thunk it. tomorrow ati releases their new drivers and people are eagerly waiting for them. ati used to be like what matrox is today, a company doing working on their own market share, and no competing with the big names of the day. people used to avoid ati cards specifically because of their laughable driver support. it's just amazing to me how fast things have changed. ati deserves a lot of credit.

i can't think of many instances where industry leaders changed so fast. can anyone else?

hopefully this new found competition will show some significant reduction in the price of video cards...similiar to what AMD did to Intel

New drivers make me want to reinstall Windows for that So Fresh n So Clean feeling.

Oh wait... I'd have to reinstall Steam as well... *shudders*

Maybe not.....

AMD went from almost garbage with the K6-II to the original Athlon and did some ass whooping. So that's one other example.
