RWD and a locker works wonders as well. I've haven't fixed the 4wd on my truck in about 4yrs as I can go just about anywhere locked.

I don't know how people drive FWD cars around in the winter, I now understand why they drive so slow though.


Technically FWD has its advantages in snow due to a significant portion of the vehicle weight being over the drive wheels. Only really becomes something of a problem on steep hills.
