Iron Woode now has an air conditioner

Its been rather humid here and my apt building seems to trap humidity even on cool days. It makes for an unpleasant sleep at night. So I decided to go out and buy an air conditioner.

I went on Kijiji and found a used unit for my window. I bought a Danby 9000 BTU unit for $90 CDN. It comes with a remote and a bunch of other settings. I cleaned the filter and installed it a few days ago. It works great.

So nice to come home to a cool, low humidity apt after work.

🙂

Honestly if I was born a generation earlier when no one had air conditioning I would have killed myself.

/me cranks AC at 68 degrees. Ahhh...

Enjoy your utility bill when it comes in!!!

That sadly is where the true cost of AC comes in...
did I forget to mention my rent includes electricity?

Yes, it does.

Meh, unless the temp gets over 90 I don't see the point. Box Fan FTW!

Unless it's ungodly humid I agree. At the moment it feels like 91 in my room, a tad warm but ok.
