A fantastic film that was overlooked during its initial release (1999) is getting two days back in the theaters with two additional scenes. Directed by Brad Bird and featuring Vin Diesel's voice as the giant, I've been looking forward to this for a few months now since I've never seen it on the big screen before.

Anybody else going to check it out? 7PM showtimes today, 12PM on Sunday.

Maybe if tickets weren't so expensive.

How much are the tickets by you? Only $12.50 here (metro Detroit) and I'm going to try to use an AMC gold ticket I have laying around (I usually go to matinee shows on a weekday so it only costs $5 or $6, so the passes would be wasted).

Didn't even know it was a thing, Iron Giant is a great film though. I won't go out and see it but I'd like to see the new scenes at some point.

Around $14 - $16 here. Don't want to spend ~$30 for wife and I to go see a movie that's regularly played on TV. Nothing against the movie though. I love the movie. But for only two extra scenes...not worth it IMO

True. I just really want to see it in a theater, which I probably won't get to do again aside from possible midnight showings at the local arts theaters.

What happens when you run out of ideas for original movies, and even the energy to do remakes/reboots/sequels? re-release the originals.

LOTS of these coming in the next few months.

Bummer, can't find it being shown at any AMC theater under 2 hours away...

One of my favorite movies!

Like what? This one's pretty significant and it's never been released on bluray hence the timing of this rerelease.
