Anyone else watching this show?
I am currious to see if other folks who are interested in computers (like people who post here) are also interested in Iron Chef.

I LOVE that show!!!!!!!!!

But here at school we don't get the Food Network :(

Who's your favorite chef? Mine would have to be Iron Chef Japanese Morimoto.

Oh, it's hilarious. They have the same translators every week, even though the judges change, so everybody sounds alike ;)

Because there should be no competition or time-limits imposed on the preparation of food. The show's format is lame -- I'm all for Grannie's Apple Pie Contests but Iron Chef reduces the art of cooking to a high speed, high energy mess. And the commentary makes me gag. :|

I think it's great :)

The format of the show is what makes it interesting. To prepare 5-6 dishes of high quality with one theme is very difficult and entertaining to watch :)

The key to the show is that it's about entertainment not a show that teaches you how to cook ;)

Cheers,
Aquaman

The show rocks. I love the voice overs for the Japanese bimbo actress judges. "Hehehe, this soup is very taste-ee, hmmmmm, I can really taste the crab in it."

I love that show! I just wish I could get it without the translators, they make it sound so stoopid!! :) Besides, I'm trying to learn japanese and would love the chance listen to it in japanese and see if I understand any of it. I loved the one where they had octopus, toss it in the pan and start frying it and it's still moving! don't think I'd ever eat it though...yuck!

Iron Chef is awesome. I watched Bobby Flay get destroyed by Iron Chef Japanese II (Morimoto). The Iron Chef got really pissed off because Bobby Flay stood on his cutting board. "In Japan, a chef's cutting board is sacred." LMAO; classic stuff. :)

Really awesome show -- it's amazing what they can do in a short amount of time. Though, I think any challenger is facing an uphill battle because of the inherent favortism for the Iron Chefs. I have only watched three of them, but in one of the episodes, the Iron Chef really should have lost (the French one). That bothered me (it was the one where the guy brought his own rice and sake).

Oh, and Emeril couldn't cook his way out of a box. If you throw enough garlic into anything, it'll taste like, well, garlic. I can cook better than that boob.

How about an Emeril/Iron Chef battle?
I bet that one would go to the Iron Chefs as well.

I love the show - but why do they have such strange panelists? A fortune teller? WTF is she doing there? And they always seem to have some young, attractive actress who giggles a lot and generally acts stupid: "Oh my mouth is loving this! It's so.....so good!" <giggle giggle> SMACK!

Obviously, the results are sort of rigged. The panelists all know the Iron Chefs, mainly because it seems like they have the same people on from week to week, so it gives them an unfair advantage.

Did you all see the one a few weeks ago where the Challenger had just separated from his wife and they actually read a letter from her to him on the air while the poor sap was trying to cook? That was painful to watch.

You all enjoy the show for all the wrong reasons. You demean food, cooking and decency! :p
