We are looking at rolling out IRM within our company however we have a large number of Blackberry users the models range from about 3 years old up to the pearl.

Does IRM work at all with blackberry?
If so to what level? and do you require any additonal software thats costs £/$?

Does IRM even work with windows mobile?

I have looked and looked on the web and forums but this seems to be a very thin on information.

TIA,

James

I don't have any direct experience, but it appears that IRM protected email will work with the newly-released Windows Mobile 6.

This web page points to a Microsoft webcast on WM6 and states that WM6 supports IRM emails, Workd, Excel, or Powerpoint documents.

IRM function requires versions of Office and Internet Explorer that support it.

This Microsoft Developer site states that:
"IRM is a feature unique to Windows Mobile and any competitive advantage it brings to the platform will be hamstrung if users cannot use the feature fully."

Windows Rights Management Services for Server 2003 Evaluation Kit.

No problem. I've added a few more links to my previous response.

The Mobile stuff is new territory and is constantly changing. It's tough to find information. Especially when you combine it with ANOTHER new technology, Rights Management.
