The three players store music in flash memory and have capacities of 256MB, 512MB, and 1GB. They measure 85.8 millimeters by 40.8 millimeters by 29.4 millimeters and weigh 49 grams without the battery, according to the company.

The company will only sell the models in South Korea and the United States, it said. The players went on sale in South Korea on May 15.

The models play audio files in MP3, Windows Media Audio, Advanced Systems, and Ogg formats using SRS Labs' WOW surround-sound simulation technology. They have LCD screens capable of showing 65,000 colors at a resolution of 128 pixels by 64 pixels, and a USB 2.0 port.

IRiver of South Korea will sell a new range of low-cost media players in the United States starting in early July. The players offer 53 hours playback time on one AA alkaline battery.

Looks good, I'll be checking them out. It's hard to justify spending that much for so little space though =/.

Intriguing. A bit pricey, but definitely intriguing for those in the market for flash based players.

what is special about this? there are 1gb flash players out there by every company including apple for less than this. I personally like the 57 hour battery life of the Sony. Plus this thign is ugly
