great deal for a great cd/mp3 player...
most importantly, no rebate... got mine for $109 around november and couldn't be happier. fits close to 200 songs per 700meg cd-r best thing when one can't afford an ipod.
bump for anyone that doesn't have it yet.

how well does this player browse through a cd?

and how well does the battery life hold out?

Is it well constructed?

Sorry for the questions but i wanted to know.

Imaginer, the buttons aren't very intuitive, but the controls overall are good once you get used to them. I can't comment on the battery life since I usually use it in my car plugged into the lighter. IMO, the construction is very nice, and the form factor is great. If you don't have the $$$ to spend on something like an iPod, this is a VERY good player. It's significantly above those cheap $30 CD-MP3 players in many aspects.

Also, when browsing through mp3s, I am guessing it lists it by the id3 tags, can it list it by filename as well?

I just might get one myself.

never mind...

"Q. Do the iMP series CD players support Chinese?

A. There are two types of iMP players. Type 1 does not support the Chinese language. In the U.S. and Canada, only Type 1 is sold. Type 2 supports the Chinese language, and Type 2 is sold from the Hong Kong office. If you are interested in purchasing the Type 2 iMP player, you can contact cs@iriver.com "

About a month ago, they had $30 rebate which brought this baby down to $59 and some people had it in their gold box which saved another $13. I was able to get it for $59 :)
