Now I have tried everything that I knew about and I can't seem to be able to transfer files at the USB2 speed.

WinXP pro SP2. USB2 is detected in my device manger and fully working. I've tried multiple USB2 port on my computer also to no avail. I've upgraded the firmware to the IRiver to its latest version 1.25.

I'm clueless !

HELP

EDIT : My BIOS is set to USB2 "High-speed".

Bump.... WTF I tought you guys where the techier guys on the planet !

Tell me even if the answer is dumb like : Well you dumbshit, you have to have a special cable to grind at 2.0 speed !!!

Anything would be welcomed.

*USB 2.0 transfers up to 3X faster than USB 1.1 with flash memory players.

^ Off the iriver site. USB 2.0 is 40x faster than 1.1 you're probably just limited by the type of flash memory they used in the unit, my 890 sure isnt as fast as my external hard drive 😀

That would explain a lot ! I filled an inquery to IRiver directly and will wait for the "official" answer. If they send me the official BS answer, yours will calm my fury.

Thx again.
