I came accross some info that it is a custom of Iraqi people to only get married on Thursday. However, someone claimed we bombed a wedding party on Wednesday. I find this a bit odd. How come the media does not know this?

Because it's probaly not true. If it were it would have been one of the first things out of the Military's mouth proving that it wasn't a wedding.

Wow, I've never heard that. I knew a little about the celebrations, but not that weddings were on a specific day.

I found this online

Last night we heard lots of gunfire, but we found out that it was not violence, but celebration. Thursdays are the typical day for weddings. Just like in Chicago on New's Year's, Iraqi's shoot into the air to express jubilation. A little unnerving, but I got used to it.

Bad people have weddings too. Those children were just collateral damage.

Here is a thought, who cares when it was taking place? I trust my government more than i trust a bunch of our enimies. the site they bombed had cash, weapons and drugs. Keep in mind the government cant hide anything over there(prison abuse) so if this was fake evidence the media surely would have said so .

Just accept that if they did hit the wedding they would own up to it, i dont know how americans can believe foreign enimies over our leaders. amazing.

the us gov't hasnt done anything to lose my trust.

If you trust iraqi's more than the US fine, but it is also very sad, and if thats the case perhaps you'd feel safer over there. They have a habit/ history of lieing, especially when it comes to capitolists and non-muslims

aeb,
what about the whole build up for the war?
them stating that the prison abuse was an isolated incident?
and the same method to cover up the wedding bombing in afghanistan?

LOL, my late wife Jessie was 13 years clean and sober when we got married. In reality, my little joke aside, there wasn't even any alcohol, let alone drugs or weapons at our wedding/reception.

And since neither of us were Polish, Italian, Greek or Jewish (for example), there wasn't any cash being pinned to the bride while she danced or handed over in envelopes, either. ;) Just restrained Anglo-Saxon murmurings of good cheer.
