I believe Kuwait and Iran were reporting in eastern Baghdad there were three separate uprisings...

If this is true then things are definitely going well, and as expected...

:D

Was watching the news channels and it may be more of a bit of revenge being taken out on members of the Fedayeen and the Republican Guard by normal citizens, as opposed to an out and out uprising. The news channels were quoting sources from Iranian and Kuwaiti press.

They learn so fast! And to think that their team didn't even win the Super Bowl!

From what I've seen...the palaces were pretty much bare when the troops rolled in. I'm sure Saddam and his thugs cleaned out the good stuff. They had plenty of time.

Welcome to your democracy folks.

"The university, ministry buildings, official offices and houses of members of the ruling Baath party all became fair game for thousands of residents, who started looting once British tanks had entered the heart of the Iraq (news - web sites)'s second largest city. "

That's from your linked article, I personally have no problems with whatever retribution the Iraqi citizens want to carry out on their oppressors...

Thats absolutely true, and anyone who has any problems with that should throw on a Iraqi uniform and see how serious the uprise really is...

Selectively reading and cliping '"Quotes" to use to prove a point shows that you ignored the jist of the entire article.
And the position that you took the clip shows you never reached into the depth of the article, or at least past the second paragraph.
Sure they're looting, but does that make looting right any more than the riots and looting in our own citites?
The British have even said that they're helpless to stop them, and don't know how to stop them.
It's safer to just let them rave and have their way - might as well have won the Superbowl.

If you think you're being cute with your 'Iraqui Uniform' comment it shows how uninformed you are.
I did my 'Nam time, and I belive I know a bit more about war and combat than you.
Why don't you join up, do the basic training, get a MOS and see what it's all about.
It's not a video game that you can reset if things go wrong, and it's not Joe Millionare.

I might be a bit confused but i am guessing that is directed at me...
Actually you would know more about me when it comes to war and combat.. I thank you for your time in Vietnam and whatever other battles you may have fought to preserve our freedoms..

And if came down to it, i would fight for our country and defend our rights...

But when referring to the "iraqi uniform", i was trying to make a point about how oppressed the people really have been, if someone has a problem with the soon to be free people of Iraq looting for the Leaders who they have feared for years then i dont know what to say...

anyhow, that might not even of been directed my way!

;)

Just trying to show that there are some Arm-Chair Cheerleaders that don't understand the consequences that go with actions.
Generalization - no specific target. Their history of conflict predates Christianity by well over 300 years, war is their normal state.
We have just developed much better weapons.
