I'm not attacking you, I'm asking a question. You didn't simply post the article, asking for input. You didn't address any issues. You made a quip and posted a cartoon. So what are your feelings on this? Is my assumption incorrect? I can only assume your lack of response means yes, you are happy with this turn of events.
I am pointing out the absurdity of people who thought the Iraqis would be throwing roses at us. While I'm at it I'd like to remind you Bush was wrong when he declared, "mission accomplished."
As for my personal feelings on this, please tell me why they are relevant to the news story.

I fail to see how asking an opinion is off topic? Are you that frightened of taking a position? I know it doesn't fit into the modus operandi of the king of trolls, but I've seen you take a position before. I know it can be done.

You are so right. Let's all ignore this sorry news, sing Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy, and pretend everything is just peachy. We'll lose just as many troops due to this SNAFU, maybe even more, but at least you bleating Bushies can happily ignore the fact that you re-elected the incompetent warmongers who put our troops in this quagmire in the first place. I have a better idea. How about rational people -without some overpowering political axe to grind- bring up the important issues in a non-sarcastic, non-gloating manner. Then we can all have a nice discussion of what's happening, what it means, and where it's going.
