Iraq: Thousands to join anti-terror demo

Tens of thousands of people are expected to take part in a huge demonstration to protest against escalating violence in the country.

on the way home tonite i heard a news report about how another American soldier was killed along with 3 Iraqis when this thought occured to me.

Youd think that the Iraqis would be pissed off at these insurgent bastards for killing innocent civilians and then try to stop this crap from happening and try to help out the US a little in creating a stable country for themselves.

I guess theyre still pretty scared of helping the US and fear retribution from Saddam/Baath Party/Insurgents/regime leftovers.

Good for them. Ultimately the future of Iraq is going to be determined by the ordinary citizens, they are the ones who can stop the terrorists, not the US.

Now if they could just act more like a United States City lkie Detroit, Cinncinnati, Los Angeles, where ever,
and fire this up into a riot like we do here at home, they would be more acceptable, wouldn't they ?
They have all those Clerics to light up their spiritual fire don't they ?
Kinda like what was going down in the late 60's & early '70's.
