Absolutely correct. They have way more in common with each other than we have with either.

I don't think this is true. There are several indications, from what I've read and watching his behavior, that the president isn't capable of dealing with the idea that anyone would have an opinion contrary to his.

I think this development is pretty much proof that Iraq is becoming their own country, and that's a good thing. They're still our ally above any other, that won't change for a long time...

I wouldn't call Iraq an ally by any stretch. Their government is a puppet, composed primarily of people who haven't been in Iraq for as long as 30-years. Considering what must be extraordinary anger at the US, I suspect the Iraqi people will sweep the deck clean as soon as they can and install increasingly US-hostile regimes.
