Sure to be on the Neocon Watchlist :D

Do you think Eisenhower would be proud of us today - having heeded his words and protected our own people from the Military Industrial Complex like we have...?

Film maker: Robert Greenwald
Greenwald is often described as progressive or left-wing and is closely aligned with Moveon.org.

The new Michael Moore?

I'm sure this film won't be sensationalized or biased at all.

Sure. Just don't expect us to take everything he says at face value and proclaim it as gospel.

I was so overwhelmed with love for my heroes that I was totally blind to the facts ;).

The problem isn't your not taking the film at face value and assuming it's all correct.

The problem is that I've yet to see one post from a right-winger with a single good thing to say about any of thousands of important and accurate things in many liberal movies.

All we get are dishonest, broad attacks from them. So the right wing is an enemy of being informed.

They do the same thing every time - fat comments, bias comments, nit picks used to argue that the whole movie is wrong - the usual cultish behavior.

Science showed that partisans' brains don't analyze things they disagree with rationally, the emotions kick in and they just attack and ignore the substance.

It's sad.

So you don't analyze anything rationally?

Wow, don't think I've ever seen someone completely miss the point in a direct reply to the very point being made before. Impressive.

I didn't miss the point. Just pointing out that Craig continually posts partisan rhetoric; thereby according to his theory he doesn't analyze anything rationally.

Those posts were all made with the old forum software. I don't think there is a way now that Anandtech switched to vBulletin.

You kind of can... but it takes a lot of copying text. But I did like it... since you can lose alot in some of the discussions.

Anyway... responding to craig2somethingorother... the problem with these movies is they do contain some factual data... but twist a lot more to fit a left of leftist agenda. The Right has nothing good to say about the left and the left has nothing good to say about the right.

I for one would like to see a complete investigation into haliburton. Soldiers have even died while taking showers to their incompetence. Also as a taxpayer I have a right to see an audit of this company to see how much that are overcharging us.

Yeah I don't get the logic of no-bid contracts, nor of putting our civilian contractors in needless exposure due to the private-arbitration-only clauses that mean that the perpetrators of serious crimes in Afghanistan or Iraq are essentially unpunished.

Greenwald is the old Michael Moore, predating the Blob and competing with Moore to be the least reasonable and honest. He was once an honest maker of bad movies, but later learned there's much more money in making mocumentaries for the loonies.

How do you guys multi quote posts? Is there some setting which allows it?

Aha! Thanks. Didn't see the post dates earlier.

Technically it can be done, though it has be done manually (not hard with the "multi-quote" option). It's still frowned upon, though.
