Iraq Dinar -- why is there a lot of advertising about buying their currency?

does anyone have specific information about this? Friend of mine said that they are investing in Iraq Dinars because the value of the currency is suppsoed to dramatically increase soon?

Some advice for you: Don't do it.

They have been saying for years that there will be an increase. There are better things to invest in.

I remember there being some giant scam involving Iraqi dinars a year or two ago.

The bond market in Iraq though has recently given great returns within the past year though. Recently they've been returning over 15% because of the news of the troop surge.

Basically any foreign currency is better than owning US Dollars right now.. Check out Pakistan's economy, btw. (It's good.)

If someone is advertising something as a good investment that usually means it isn't one.

People will find good investments on their own. Bad investments need to advertise how good they are to get buyers.
