uso care package

i'm in.

seems like a great deal to help boost the spirits of the guys and gals who won't be having the world's best christmas this year...

and it gets even better!

as an added bonus, you can put in a personal, positive message to let them know that, unlike the press and the a55wipes in the at_politics forum, some of us appreciate them and the job they've chosen to do and don't think they're all criminals and idiots...

I'm in too.

I received one of these when I was deployed in the Gulf during the early 90's. Talk about raising someone's spirits. A little bit of home goes a long way...

Awesome post Cubeless! This is one deal I'm definitely getting in on.

Happy holidays to our brave men and women in uniform serving overseas and to everyone on this forum.

I donated $100 during the first Gulf War. I'm all for showing my appreciation to those serving active duty, but be *WARNED*. They will sell your contact info. After I donated, I was bombarded with mail and phone calls from every organization under the sun begging for donations. Kinda pushed me away from ever doing that again. I wish there was a better "anonymous" way of doing this.

In my experience, every charity does this sort of thing. While it annoys me, too, it's hard for me to get too upset about people asking me to donate money to their usually-worthy cause.

Im not 100% sure, but I think everything in the package except the calling card and camera is provided free by the military.
