First, I'd like to thank the Mods for a 'Sticky'
 ------------------------------------------------------------
I have been asked to remove some information for now.
There is an 8 hour time difference from Eastern USA time to Iraq.
12:00 Noon is 8:00 PM (2000 HRS Military Time) over there.
Participate if you wish - support your troops in Iraq.

Some of you may know, while others may not - my son is returning to Iraq for another deployment.
It's been quite a ride since the middle of July, when he was sent to Fort Hood.
We've gone through the pleasure of having him as close as a 2 1/2 hour drive from where we live.
He's had the chance to visit on weekends when time and training breaks allowed him to join us for some quality family time.

Newest gear for protection against IDE's
He is among the first soldiers to receive the face and head guard protection equipment.
Anyway - he spent this last Friday afternoon and Saturday morning with us and we celebrated his Birthday.
His sister sent him a Portable DVD for him to take along
We had him bring along a couple of his friends to visit with us, and had a Pre-Thanksgiving Turkey dinner on Friday evening,
and a traditional breakfast for Saturday Morning.

Which brings us to this:
Chris has said that he may be able to provide me a list of 'Pen Pal' Soldiers if anyone wishes to send along their words of encouragement and support -
just a little note from supporters at home, goes a long way in re-inforcing good will and morale when you're in the boondocks.
I'll be sending letters and goodies monthly to Chris & his Battle Buddies.
You'll have to PM me if you wish to write any of them.
