It is like saying you can't have more than one inspector. If they have nothing to hide then why limit the flights.

But they say they have nothing to hide, so why should it matter if there are 2 unarmed spy planes scanning the country? So we'll just find nothing, twice as fast.

Why does that seem that they have something to hide. Its not like they stopped all planes. They said no more than one. So whats the big deal.

Did you read optomon's quote?
A U.S. official said U.N. Security Council Resolution 1441, which sent weapons inspectors back to Iraq, allows multiple surveillance flights.

I will try to remain civil ...

Please provide a GOOD Reason why Iraq should be allowed to LIMIT the number of planes.

1441 says that the inspections are unconditional. The UN can have 1 or 10 planes flying in the air and have tens of thousands of inspectors across Iraq.

Even if you'd agreed to have them fly over?

Because its their airspace and thats why. They can say whatever they want.
Is this because Iraq had a say in something that bugs you and that they got what they want? It seems that this really bothers you as you have said that you are trying to stay civil.

zoiks they agreed to have multiple flights. They are backing out of yet another agreement by not condoning two planes at once. Is that ok with you? Can Iraq do no wrong? Unlike the soviet situation - and the US woulid have done the same - the Iraqis AGREED to have multiple flights. And now they say no. Is that ok with you?

Then Saddam never should have agreed to the 17th or 18th UN resolution.

Saddam signed an agreement allowing MULTIPLE flights over his precious airspace

Let me guess, Democrat that just can't get Florida off your mind?

Or are you a person who hates more than just George Bush -- maybe everything the USA stands for and does?

zoiks Did you read Skoorbs post? Do you have any idea what it going on in Iraq and the UN? Ever hear of 1441 and the dozen other resolutions passed by the UN against Iraq?
