Uh, I'm in the military. I vote Iran. We have them surrounded. We still have plenty of M1 Abrams chilling throughout Iraq so we can rapidly deploy them if necessary. The conglomeration formed by the conquered states of Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan will thereafter be referred to as "Americastan."
One guy wrote a book about using nuclear tactic assaults on Iran. He mentioned that Iran had football fields of underground nuclear research and that Iran was a U.S. enemy, aggressive nation, and opting for nuclear weapons, ultimately, to contend with the "bigger" powers.
At the pace which Iran/North Korea are moving, you can be assured that the United States is ready to declare war measures on Iran and North Korea any day now, as the planning has been secretly in the process for countless decades by United States war specialists.
Subdued?
lol
I think we need to invade Antarctica. They have all this land, the lowest taxes on the planet and the least expensive water bills in the industrialized world.
After that we need to invade Humbolt county California.... they keep all the good shit to themselves.....
You don't know how close to the truth you actually are on that first one.
Actually, i would say they are subdued.
Thing is, we could run them completely over at any day, we could change their government, take over every piece of land and kill everyone who tried to fight it in less than one week at this point.
The fighting you hear about is actually very random and disorganised at this point.
The Pakistani and Saudi authorities have apparently convinced the fugitive spiritual leader of the Afghan Taliban Mullah Mohammad Omar to hold talks with Obama and Karzai administrations so that a post-exit strategy could be devised for Afghanistan.
Well informed diplomatic circles in Islamabad say the process of bringing the Taliban to the negotiating table has gained momentum, with the US and its allies escalating their efforts to get America out of Afghan quagmire before December 2010, when president Barack Obama is due to give an official review of Afghan strategy.
And that's why we are getting ready for peace talks with the Taliban?

If we exit with any sort of Taliban in power in Afghanistan, the mission is fail.
Don't fucking blame me or any of us though, we were shipped out against better knowledge and i was so fucking pissed about it, we were the first to go too because for some reason no other team (bullSHEIT) could be the first to land in Iraq than the target team on the border of Pakistan, the SAS TFB.
Fun, isn't it, 9 fucking years for absolutely nothing.

Maybe on the big base you're at doing nothing (Im assuming you're in the military). But in southern Helmand is still very active. People are still dying, we're still finding IED's, and there are still firefights that last hours. My crew and I found 13 IED's in two days not long ago, while getting shot at. To a point it has subdued, because as we move down, we establish PB's, but its still steady and organized (very sometimes) fighting.
I'm very very rarely on base and that is why my participation on this forum is sporadic.
Are you with the 4th Armed or the Scots? I had a brief discussion a couple of weeks back with Captain Wood and from what i know there have not been any requests for more increased support since.
I did not in any way mean to downplay the rouges or say that complete stability has been reached, just that if there was an actual will to do it, it could be done.
lol. Just because I'm targeting liberals with that post does not mean that I support Bush's reign of idiocy. The fact that liberals support the rights of the illegal is a fact, which cannot be denied. You need to accept this, and move on. Bush was an idiot. Obama is a fool. Everyone knows this.
Im with 3/1. We just cleared the Safar Bazaar last month. My team took the first hill, Bat Obj 1. Shot 4 apobs the first day, and another the second day.16 miclics also thru the Safar. Used about 40 drop charges to disrupt to find IED's. We also found the biggest cache in the entire AO. I got plenty of pics but cant post, yet. They built COB Wrankle, PB Burry, PB Hernandez then PB Donahue. In that respect it has been subdued, because it displaced th taliban. But if you go South or West, its wide open. They have freedom of movement.
We are doing another OP down there soon to stop that, but opsec blah blah. The only reason I have spawar right now is because we are preparing and are at our company pos. We dont have generators, or tents. We have UGR, MRE's and water. But its almost over, soon we will be leaving to go home.
One video of us operating down there. He came at a bad time, we lost two Marines that day. May and Johnson, which two PB's were built after.

Please don't be taken in by JoS's crap. He's been practicing being a secret squirrel SAS officer on these boards for years now. He's the only one that believes it though.
You're doing good work down there. I left at the beginning of August. I've still got a few friends in 1/4 in the South. Hope you're enjoying the perks of "civilization" while you can.![]()
