JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Members of Iran's Revolutionary Guard have been found among Hizbollah guerrillas slain by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, Israel's Channel 10 television reported on Wednesday citing diplomatic sources.

It would appear that Iran can no longer deny their role in this current war. Not only do they supply missile weaponry, but now members of their elite military unit have been found slain alongside Hizbollah in southern Lebanon.

Will this change anything; does it mean that Iran is waging war? If it is, why do we continue to act in apathy towards Iran? I am curious to see if we can downplay the significance of this finding.

I will note that this media report is fresh, and not yet wide spread.
Isreals problem not ours.

Correct! It is or could be Israel`s problem.
But knowing the IDF they would Love for Iran to get Involved a little more than just sending ADVISORS!!
Also it would be and already has been a major propaganda nightmare for Hezbollah.

I don't think either country really wants a war. And the ability of Israel to effectively attack Iran is questionable. Iran would have to attack with wildly guided ballistic missiles. I don't think its really a concern.

Iran engages in possible acts of war, not a concern. Iran develops nuclear technology, not a concern. Then connect the dots and realize borders do not mean anything, they are almost free to travel anywhere with covert military units and weapons.

Islamic Fascism is everyone?s concern.

But as the largest arms supplier in the world---the USA hardly has clean hands either.

you can wax eloquent all you want. But as far as military advisors are concerned israel does`nt us to advise them on how to win any war. hell we can`t even ein a war.
had we beem advising israel it would have been plain as day.
You want to know why?
It`s simple really.
Israel would be losing this war in a very humiliating manner.
The arabs would not be calling for any sort of cease fire.

Invade Iran!!!

It's no secret that Iran is behind Hizbollah, so this is not Earth shaking. We supply weapons, intel and probably advisers in Israel, are we waging war by proxy?
the big picture is simple-- mind you both my parents at one time did there compulsory stint in the IDF and my younger brother is currently in the IDF. Israel is getting no Intel from us. Our intel pales in comparison to what Israel has on its neighbors. There are no advisors in Israel. Truth be told they told us to butt out of ther war. They were only interested in what they had already purchased from us and were going to purchase from us in terms of weapons and fuel. It is NOT our war. We are not waging it by proxy. We were as suprised as the rest of the wordl when this war started. Even though we knew eventually this would happen. The US did not think it would happen over the kidnapping of israeli soldiers.
nuff said.
One more thing when U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice went to israel she really did have tears during the news conderence. I hear she was to put it blunty she was told by Prime minister Olmert -- we told you guys to butt out what don`t you understand about the word--butt out??

Why people have to paint this conflict as some black and white, good vs evil thing is beyond me. Both sides are beyond dirty and many countries have their finger prints on both sides.
