What good are these agreements if no one lives up to them? There's no doubt in my mind nuclear weapons are what they want. It's the culmination of the pissing contest they've been having with Israel, and now they are steeled in their resolve thanks to our little Iraqi Intervention for our Jewish friends.

I also wouldn't trust the word of those Iranians who say they are there. They are nothing more than a bunch of people who wish to bring the Shah's son back to Iran and make him a king.

I think they are just assuming it is a nuclear facility based on new construction they saw at a site. If Iran found out anyone had ties to this group in Iran they would be in torture for life prison.

A first step to keeping WMDs away from Iran is to get rid of their incentive. Stop warring on their borders and get WMDs out of the hands of the rogue-state Israel.

A very small group mind you. Even if the mullahs were ditched, I hardly think the populace would want the monarchy reinstated. The ruling mullahs have already proven they can't be trusted. I think this report is accurate.

kage69, since when you have so much confidence in commucations from a terrorist group? If Osama told us that the RNC gather every week to eat little boys for breakfast would you proclaim that "There's no doubt in my mind that the RNC is a bloodthirsty gang of cannibals"? May I remind you (not that it would do much good) the story of a someone named Ahmed Chalabi who was telling everyone who would listen about the huge quantities of WMD that Iraq had and how Saddam had countless nuclear bombs aimed at the US?

Don't worry, this is what the UN is for! Their sanctions and inspectors will stop all this madness. Let's have faith in the UN!!!! We all know their track record.

If the Iranians take IAEA inspectors to this site immediately, then I guess we have an answer. Seems fishy they'd announce this right as a deal is struck with the EU on Iran's nuclear plans.

And how, precisely, do you expect to get a country surrounded by countries that would absolutely love to see it destroyed, countries that have tried on several occasions to accomplish just that, to give up it's nukes? Saying "pretty please" isnt going to do it.

Easy there spanky. Do you see me putting money on this? My point is I don't believe the Iranian government at all, and it wouldn't surprise me a group like this would take great pains to expose that government's duplicity. May I remind you (not that it would do much good) that the Iranian leadership has quite the checkered past concerning this issue, and given recent events, is even kinda justified in it's pursuits? (The thought of any theocracy having nukes scares the hell out of me though).

Yeah, talk about your pipe dreams.

Hey if GWB can pull the US out of agreements, he is setting an example for the rest of the world.

It's a great thing that Iran can garner some teeth for itself, just as NK can. The world does not have to be victimized by GWB's loose cannon. While no WMD's were found in Iraq, good for Saddam for trying to have things to protect his Country.

Actually their track record regarding getting Iraq to get rid of their WMD's was pretty good.

Too bad Saddam didn't use them to protect his own country, he used them against his own people. The entire world felt it was not good for him to have those things BTW, had nothing to do with Bush.

In repsonse to the OP the US sold Israel a handfull of long range bunker busting bombs recently. IMO Israel will take care of any Iranian facilities, not the US.

Yeah, a coward move by Bush to let his pawn do the dirty work.

Let him do it, it will increase the Middle East's hatred of Israel and hopefully they'll gang up on it and decimation of Isarel will occur and the Palestines will have a total, peaceful state! Solve two probably with one answer!

Sounds like a winner!

phillyTIM no country in the world wants Iran to have this capability, once again, it has nothing to do with Bush's personal desires.
