The guy has no power.

He's a wack job. The mullahs wanted him there and now the mullahs regret it.

Not because of his ideas, but because he is a wacko. The mullahs are wacko too but secret wackos. They will do anything to stay in power forever. They know their time is running out. With this wacko spreading his views so openly, the mullahs have to explain how "this is not Iran's policy" only so the world won't hate iran.

The day will come when towel heads will no longer roam Iran.

Iran's reform party or whatever they like to call themselves cry on a constant basis. Not because they are like the Democrats in the U.S, but because the Iranian regime bans anyone in that party who gets too powerful to make a difference.

One hopes that Aimster is right, but I gravely doubt it. Nonviolent reform has already failed in Iraq-their last president, popularly elected by a wide margin, got absolutely no where & the populace that wants reform is incredibly frustrated and powerless.

Wow - Iran has it's own GWB-clone...helped into election by the religious zealots, sacking all that opposed his point of view, replacing them with croneys, and ignoring international opinion.

How long until this country has nuclear weapons at best guess? A year, less?

Are you just driving up you post count with this? Did you RTFA? Did it NOT strike you as explicitly what Bush Jr. did in his first term?

Now - put these two men of similarly extreme methods and temperments, similar lack of restraint, and 180 degree differing ideologies, both in control of nuclear arms...and connect the dots.

Sorry that was so hard for you.

So you think it takes a country 1 year to develop nuclear weapons?

Iranian coupe? Persian convertibles! Put a peck of our muscular Christian missionaries in a giant locked hall with the worst of the mullahs. No matter who loses, the rest of us win.

IIRC Not only is Aimster Iranian, he's muslim. His beloved patriot reference is no doubt aimed at the mullahs, not islam in general.

He is like most Iranians, he hates the regime in power. The Iranians living abroad absolutely despise the regime. I'm sure the current generation of Iranians living in Iran feel the same way. The students constantly have protests, or at least try to protest until the radical Islamic regime cracks down on them and delivers severe punishment or even death to some of the protestors.

Even with the current level of danger, the brave people of Iran continue to risk their lives by speaking out again the mullahs. The radical Islamic regime of Iran continues to send out the goons to crack down on the protestors. Its not a good situation. I hope that the international community, particularly the Europeans show some interest for the suffering of the Iranian people. England is trying to cozy up with the mullahs, while surprisingly, the French have shown that they are willing to take action against the regime if they acted in a certain way.

Does that mean liberals/Democrats will oppose him openly and decisively because he's like George W Bush in their eyes, (or whatever) or will they undermine things because they don't want to agree with the real George W Bush?
