I wish I could find the link, but while I was surfing the net last Thursday I came across a thread in a different forum that had the link. Well, anyways the link said that the U.S. would attack Iran on April 6 and I believe the link pointed to a Russian News Website. The next day Iran seizes the 15 British Marines, I'm sure it's just coincidence but this now gives our stupid leader an excuse to attack Iran.

Iran is giving Bush the excuse to invade them. Not too smart move.

Iran is executing their moves perfectly. Support for our war with Iraq is at its lowest point, we just committed even more troops and resources to the conflict, and we've clearly shown our incompetency in dealing with Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bush knows he can't invade and Iran knows it too.

Look at you retards, thinking 15 soldiers who trespassed into Iranian waters is enough for our country to go to war. It's like we've got a forum of gradeschool children.

Who says they went into Iranian waters? Britain says that are 100% sure they were in Iraqi waters, and an Iraqi fisherman also says he saw the Iranians pick them up in Iraqi waters. If the British aren't allowed in Iranian waters, wtf were the Iranians doing picking up British soldiers on a mandate from the UN in Iraqi waters?

Who cares if they were on the frigen moon.... War should be a LAST resort PERIOD!

Only bush and hard core right wingers would look at this situation of possibilities to go and destroy and kill. They are just dieing to kill someone.

But what else can you expect from this generation?

Although I am 100% opposed to Bush's policy in the Middle East I honestly believe that bombing th hell out of Iran will do more good than what we have failed to accomplish in Iraq and Afghanistan.
it all sounds good.. but.. it would create 100+ Osama's
According to you everything we do helps the terrorists.
We might as well give up and convert now... anyone know which way Mecca is?

Last I heard next to any christain church....

Bwahahahaha  You know what I just realized?

Iran is going tit-for-tat with the US in regards to the treatment of detainees.

Abductions...secret interrogations...military tribunals.

If the sailors didn't do anything wrong, I'm sure they'll be released in...two or three years? I think that's about the going rate in Guantanamo.

then we just have more targets to take out.

sorry, but the whole idea of not doing something against a threat because it may make life difficult is the reason why countries like this run amok, let alone the reason you get Osamas in the first place. The world should not allow such lunacy to continue but does so out of some hell bent desire for self destruction

Youy probably would have rooted for them during the Hostage crisis too:thumbsdown:

Speculation for 1,000 Alex.
Granted we're no angels but given Iran's past actions how can one root for them? All they are doing is making a terrible situation worse.

If they seriously attempt to put these sailors on trial they are going to be facing some dire consequences. I honestly don't think they're that stupid, otherwise I hope their people don't mind not having electricity or tomato's for the foreseeable future.

Like what? lol Iran is a nobody. OH NOES UN SANCTIONS!

/chuckle

Who knows? The Brits might go 'Falklands' on them, I don't see them sitting idly if these guys are put on trial for their lives.

I rarely post in these threads to address the partisan sniping but this is just ridiculous.

These were British sailors operating Royal Navy marked equipment who were clearly identified as such in what at best could be a disputed (from Iran's perspective) waterway, though pretty much everyone else is claiming it was Iraqi waters. The British have publicly claimed the sailors and have been attempting to effect their release. This is not the same issue, period.

If Iran is stupid enough to put these sailors on trial for their lives and stick them to rot in some Iranian jail or even try to execute them I predict the Iranian government is in for a rude fvcking awakening as to just how far they can push the Europe and the US. You don't go jumping into the tiger cage at the zoo and start poking it with a sharp stick and not expect a negative response.

Hopefully this whole thing winds quickly when the Iranian gov decides they've gotten enough domestic PR value out of this and releases them. Pushing this would be a terrible idea on their part.

Yeah, but im black american so i only enjoy some rights. Anyway, Iran is not holding any americans.

Dude I am black and that has to be the most insulting comment I have heard in a long time. You are Free in American and you enjoy most if not all the rights of this country. Sure its not perfect and racism does exsist but to say you only enjoy some of your rights is just untrue and ignorant.

That is one of the dumber things that I have seen on this board, almost as dumb as your previous comment in this thread. Well, maybe not dumb, I guess ignorant would be a better word.
