Stop being douches and realize there wasn't a 'political agenda' behind the movie, and once again, the historical accurateness is nill. Why do people assume that everything is done to hurt someone else or with a political agenda?

Its not like their ccurrent actions are going to change peoples opinions they may garner in the movie anyway.

I can see their argument "Just b/c we harbor terrorists and want to start a nuclear war now, doesn't mean we were bloodthirsty savages then!!"

hahaha... funny stuff

Cyber savvy Iranians have already started online petitions and set off "Google bombs" against "300".

You know you struck a nerve when cyber suicide bomber terrorists come out.

Is this the same Iran that held a Holocaust revisionist conference?

Well most americans have no f'ing idea that persia is modern day Iran.

Most Americans don't know what Iraq is.....and who the Khomeni's where.

Most Americans also don't know that most Iranians love American culture.
The youth love rap and MTV and want the freedom we have.
Most take the clerics' rhetoric at face value.

Most Americans don't understand the region at all.

The spot is but the culture is completely different. It's like saying Modern Italians would fit in at the height of Rome.

Shouldn't be too hard... just follow the saying "When in Rome..." haha

This happens all the time. Some people forget the different between non-fiction and fiction when their ultra-nationalism acts up. It's quite common with the British. Happened recently with Americans and the Turkish movie. Now it's Iran.

Sounds like someone's upset that their wussy asses got beat all those years ago. Don't they still consider Alexander the Great a huge villian? In your face, Darius.

And if there was an American movie showing the victory of the Persians over the Babylonians, what, the Iraqis would get upset? It's not like Hollywood ever gets history right even when it's trying, and we Americans know that. Modern Iran is not the same Persia of old, considering the extent of ancient Persia and the populations. Besides, it's not as if Greece is shown to be any less "savage" in this movie.

And anyways, they should accept the fact that movies from the Western perspective would more likely than not have a bias for ancient western civilizations like Greece and Rome. If it was an Iranian movie about the clashes between Persia and Greece, they wouldn't be any less biased for the Persians.

Who cares what Iranians think? They'd blow the US to hell if they had a chance, and we're supposed to care that their sensibilities are offended?
