From Tehran Times

TEHRAN ? Newly-appointed Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani vowed on Monday not to show any leniency toward lawbreakers and anybody who violates civil rights.

?Nobody should dare to make a ruling against the law or violate civil rights, and such persons (violators) should be aware that sooner or later they will be brought to justice, and in this important position I will not show leniency toward any of them,? he stated on the sidelines of an official ceremony held to welcome him to the new post.

The ceremony was attended by Expediency Council chairman Hashemi Rafsanjani, President Mahmoud Ahmadinjad, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and a number of other officials from the three branches of government as well as top military commanders.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday appointed Larijani as the new Judiciary chief for a five-year term.

Could the new chief of the Iran Judiciary mean a slight change in their judiciary system, and how would this affect Iranians?

The guy seems to have a good grasp of the importance of justice. The question will be what does he think justice is.

how is it going to change? they are going to give woman who simply had 2 men in her house (just visiting) 140 whips hits instead of 70? and 40 years instead of 20?

(those numbers are nto the actual ones, but a 78 year old woman had a fucked up punishment like that)
