Something is going to erupt, and I Don't think Israel will stand for it.

While I think Tony Shalhoub is an increible actor and brilliant in Monk I just don't see how he would be an effective missile

After seeing him in The Big Night, I can understand the concern as Tony Shalhoub clearly drops bombs.

They've had this missle for a few years now. It was tweaked the last couple of months to be accurate and not fail.
They are supposedly also working on a Shab-4, Shab-5 missle.

This is not new. Been known for years now. Iraq was the real threat :p

This is great news! Finally, someone with some power to stand up to Bush's tyranny! Rock on, Iran!

This gives Iran the capability to accurately control access to the Gulf.

They can easily target oil terminals and shipping within the straigths with the missiles instead of using mines as they did before.

Seems like Iran is begging for a blow...

They are gonna get it - sooner or later!

Have they forgotten about the patriot missile systems?

I guess they are betting that we can't get a star wars program up and running?

Then all their missiles blong to us.

Funny that Iran is doing more to endanger national security than Iraq has ever done for the past 10 years. While I certainly don't agree with phillyTIM's sentiment, this is an expected dose of reality for our admin.

Iraq was a counter balance to Iran's ambitions.

Without a madman running Iraq, Iran can start to exert it's influence/muscle on the rest of the Gulf.

Saudi would be the only other Arab state that could stand up against them, and Saudi has shown that they want/need the US protection (ie. GW1).

I think with the threats against Iran made by a coalition led by FRANCE, any US attack against Iran would most likely involve a lot more allies. But, I think Bush plans on letting France and others take care of Iran, China take care of North Korea, and the US focusing on Iraq.

The moolahs are playing up as Kim Jong Il did a couple of years ago. They want attention. They just might get it in the way of an invasion force.

Iran has never attacked their neighbors. Iraq attacked Iran. Iraq attacked Kuwait.

Iran is just talking to get attention. BTW U.S has no direct relations with Iran, period. This is Iran's way of telling the U.S to stop messing with them or they can fight back.

Maybe they think we really haven't made any advances in anti-missile technology in the last 15 years since we first saw patriot systems. Maybe they'd be horribly mistaken. ;)

Ditto. But when something is repeated over and over again by the media for months/years, it becomes the truth and the public believes it like mindless automatons. The Bush administration have done it once, they can do it again.

there is nothing illegal about them making missiles. So America or Israal is going to attack Iran over building missiles? that's just wishful warmongering. While America and Israel basically see Iran as illegitimate, the rest of the world recognizes them. Certain elements in the US is just still bitter after 25yrs that their puppet the Shah was removed from power. I think America's policy towards Iran is seriously flawed.

The notion that any country could stand up to us and/or our allies sucsessfully is laughable. The majority of these nations weapons and technology come from us, and do you really believe we give them the *good* stuff? ;)

They could probably use a few more ground troops over there. You should go sign up seeing as your so enthusiastic about Iran.
