IRAM Users: Check your battery..

With all the issues with battery operated items.. I thought I check mine.. I got multiple IRAMs, one unit stop charing.. I pull the card out, check the battery button, the thing doesn't light up.. the other 3 unit works fine.. full battery..

Mine was made 0607 - 7th week of 2006.. so I figure ill try to get a new battery or if they buy a backup battery for the unit.... last thing you guys want to do is lose your data.. I ghost mine before I shutdown so I did not lose anything..

o All peripherals carry a 1 year limited warranty

Warranty Effective On Date of Manufacture

GIGABYTE determines warranty based on the manufacture date. The manufacture date can be verified by the serial number found on the product. The first four digits after "SN" determine the year and week of manufacturing date. For example:

"01)04719331729028(21)SN0213030585" represents the 13th week of 2002

My I-Ram battery bursted open!

I heard a loud pop one day and had no clue what it was. A month or so later I opened my case because I wanted to sell my I-Ram and the battery had seperated in two. Well it was still attached but half was pushed up super far and was attached by melted metal.

That I-Ram gets really hot. I think it just heated up the case and everything way to much. And it was to hot for the battery. Or maybe something else was wrong I dont know. But I really dont miss the thing. And I can't believe how much the temperatures dropped without it.
