IR PORT SETTINGS

I just got a HP Omni book 900, and a palm III in a package deal. I want to set up the IR port on the lappy so I can hot sync with the palm. What should the settings be? I have already tried AUTO, so what are the best settings so I can use the IR port?

I use a USB-to-IrDA adapter to sync my Palm (Samsung i300 phone ... very Palm III-like). While I'm not at my PC, my Palm is set to use "IR to PC/Handheld" ... "IrCOMM to PC" ... "115kbps" ... "Auto-negotiate."

I can't remember how I got everything up, but I *MAY* have needed one or more of the following:

http://www.palm.com/support/downloads/irenhanc.html

http://www.palmgear.com/softwa...tware.cfm?prodID=11223

Again, I *MAY* have used these packages, and perhaps others. I also believe that using the latest Palm Desktop software helps, as some of the earlier versions did not support IR.

If I can remember, I post some settings when I get home to my PC.

Looks like Palm Desktop 4.1 (well, HotSync, actually) just needed to be set to IR and everything is a "go."
