Hello folks, bananas all round.

I'm looking to control my various bits of kit with a remote. I've got a computer, with a graphical equalizer (remote controlled), a TV and a mobile phone with IR.

The plan is to buy an IrDA adapter and a learning remote. I'd use the learning remote to replace the TV and EQ remote (and any future wireless device I obtain). I'd set up software to use the remote to also control stuff on the PC such as DVD & MP3 playback as well as general stuff, such as shutting down the system. I'd also use the IrDA adapter to connect to my mobile phone. I plan to buy other stuff such as a Hi-Fi, and I'd use the learning remote to control that too. All this, combined with my wireless keyboard/mouse, would allow me to control EVERYTHING from my bed. Which is my dream. Ohhh baby. So.. my questions are:

1) Has anybody else got a similar setup? Care to tell what cool wireless stuff you've done?
2) Can anybody recommend an IrDA adapter and/or tell me where to get one?
3) Can anybody also recommend a learning remote and/or tell me where to get one?
4) Have I missed something? Are there any other really cool wireless things you can do with a home PC / entertainment setup?

FYI: I live in the UK.

I've seen remotecentral.com and I've spotted some nice remotes on there but I can't find anywhere that'll ship 'em to the UK. I'm after a stylish-looking normal learning-remote. Not one of the ones with a screen. A cool silver or white one would be nice...

I plan to buy a projector when I get some money too. I've got a big bare wall in my room that I can project films onto and a big bed opposite for some serious film-sessions. So a decent wireless set-up would be amazing. I've got a TV card in my PC so I could also use the remote to control the TV on the PC which is getting projected onto the wall. Now that's what I'm talking about!!!
