I was just browsing Excaliberpc.com and noticed the IQYHA stepping on mobile athlons is more expensive then the AQYHA. Does anyone know why?

I haven't seen much evidence on IQYHA results. Whiteboy's results are the only ones that I've heard from this new stepping. I don't know if I'm going to believe IQYHA is better until I get a few myself. So far all my AQYHA chips have done 2.6ghz on air. Maybe the IQYHA chips will do better. That would make me a happy man :)

IQYHA is generally considered the best possible stepping for the mobiles, however the AQYHA is a very close second, there probably isn't much of any difference honestly. they are both the best stepping if you can get your hands on it.

I'm going to order the new mobile 2600 from excaliberpc because it has the IQYHA stepping as well. We'll see how it stacks up. I wish I had the money to buy the 2400 IQYHA as well :(

that processor will take whatever you can throw at it so make sure you have the motherboard and cooling for it. the only way you can test its real limits is through water cooling or phase change.

true dat!

:) 2.9 ghz is nothing to sneeze at especially on an unmodded prommy 1.

AQYHA is still a great stepping.

I think people generally regard IQYHA as the best mobile stepping because it's the most common one. From what I recall, the IQYFA 0343 steppings were the best chips. I was always seeing near 3ghz OCs with them. I really hope this new IQYHA stepping is better than the current AQYHA stepping for the 35w chips. That would be nice. I wonder when Newegg will start carrying them?

If you look on system info in some programs it will tell you that the internal clock maximum for the Athlon XP processor is 3GHZ. If anyone has broken this barrier please tell.
