IQ problems after installing new video drivers.

I just installled the latest nvidia drivers because one of my games wouldn't work with the ones I had. After installing the game worked fine but now everything looks like crap. Textures look more blurry than usual and I've noticed theres a lot more pop up in farcry than I remember. Even after reinstalling the old drivers it still looks bad. Any ideas?

athlon 3200+
msi k8t neo
nvidia 6800 gt
1gig mushkin ram
