IQ/Abstract reasoning - what it means?

Hi

So I'm wondering if anyone here scores highly (top 5% or higher) on the non verbal/abstract reasoning parts on any Standardised IQ test they may have taken, and does your career reflect and use your high score?

I got tested as I was in a car injury recently, and as part of my neuro psych eval I had an IQ test. I scored particularly highly on the reasoning part with pictures and sequences. (Abstract).

I asked the doc what careers it could lead to, but he said I would need to see a specialist. So I turn to AT, and ask if anyone here has the same high aptitude and what do you do with it? I would appreciate serious replies, and if anyone is a psych major and knows in depth about this that would be super good.

IQ tests mean nothing in terms of career potential. Your ability to reason will help in many different areas of life, least of which being your career. Wisdom will go a lot further than IQ though.

abstract reasoning can be highly useful for certain careers, and that ability can help gain upper movement in careers too - if it can be applied accordingly using knowledge. Aimless abstract reasoning can be terrible.
