IPv6 and my hardware

I've been experiencing some issues here lately. A Router with a flaky WAN port and a Modem that would not acquire a CPE MAC Address without a second power cycle. Both of these issues have been corrected but in researching possible causes and fixes, I ran across this website: http://test-ipv6.comcast.net/ My results are as follows:

Hmm, 7/10. I'm not having any issues but it seems like over the long haul having a 10/10 would be better. I find that there is a firmware update for my Router and among several issues, it addresses this specific issue with Comcast. Cool! I install it. I'm at 10/10! Gotta like that.

Ah, but my wireless is now horrible. Doing a simple speedtest I get .48Mbps and the test takes forever to run. I used to get 30Mbps wirelessly and wired which happens to dovetail nicely with the tier of service I'm paying for. I check a wired computer and I get 30Mbps. Looking at the Netgear forum I see that this firmware, released in February of this year is causing problems for others too. Their "fix" which entails resetting the Router and then if that doesn't fix it reinstalling the new firmware does not correct the issue for me. The Router I have is EOL and there isn't going to be any more support coming soon. Perhaps new firmware sometime in the future but they haven't corrected this problem since the February release and who knows when or if they will. I flash back to the previous firmware and the speed issues are corrected.

So, for those that have hung in this far, I now have questions. With everything working fine as far as navigating the web, page loads, downloads etc., how important is it to have this issue corrected? Is it something that will become important in the future?

Yes. Eventually. But other than a few really big sites (Microsoft, Facebook, Google properties, maybe Ebay), not too many sites are IPv6 ready. And pretty-much all IPv6 ready sites, are still accessible over IPv4. So, until such times as there are IPv6-only sites, you'll be fine without a 10/10 score.

That is pretty much what I figured. Thanks for the reply.
