Not exactly sure what forum I should ask this question. I foresee possible varying opinions so I'll ask here. My question is as follows:
If I were to set my website server to only use an IPv6 address, would that affect users who can't connect to an IPv6 address or not? I'm not entirely sure if this would be an issue given the fact of DNS. I do use CloudFlare and mange the DNS there. Although, the domain is handled by NameSilo.
The goal here is to minimize scanners since the IPv6 address block is so large it would help mitigare bot scanners looking for vulnerabilities. As opposed to using an IPv4 address where a simple server can scan large swaths of the IPv4 address space of given ASNs.
I do have lots of security precautions in place up to and including Ninjafirewall which has stopped many SQL injection attacks.
