I have a BUFFALO WHR-HP-G54 router and I have port 48891 forwarded that I use for utorrent. When utorrent is closed and I check the log in the router I see that it is accepting incomming connections on port 48891 even tough utorrent is not running....is this normal?

The incoming connections are other peoples' Torrent clients trying to connect to the seeds that your uTorrent was advertising. The other clients don't have any way to know that your client is not running so they'll keep trying until they fail to connect enough times that they give up.

Sure they do, if the tracker doesn't list his address then they shouldn't be trying to connect to him. I can understand it happening for a bit after killing utorrent since it might take some time for the tracker to notice he's gone and then for the other clients to notice too but it shouldn't happen 24x7.
