Ipods to become more like PDAs?

I am sure most of you have read about Duke University giving Free Ipods to all of its incoming freshman. These will be used to store class schedule and lots of other stuff including music. Do you guys think Apple is aiming to make the Ipod into a daily life organizer and more than just a MP3 player?
 
im more leaning towards something like the arcos. full color screen, but its way to expensive right now. when (or if) they add Pda functionality, it will be the best thing since sliced bread. would you rather listen to music, or listen to music and watch the video at the same time?
