3rd gen ipod battery has pretty much given up.

Has anyone ordered from ipodbattery.com?

Couldn't get a replacement from Apple cause I couldn't find my receipt in time 🙁

i think it's a pretty big company and is pretty decent. the 3rd party batter dosent last as long as a new offical battery though. something like 80% of the playtime. i read about that site some time ago in popular science.

80% of the current gen ipod or 80% of the "official" battery for the 3rd gen?

80% of what you were getting when it was new.

Well, my buddy runs this site out of his house...he has a lot of customers, orders, and deals a lot on eBay as well. I haven't compared prices, but I know he's damn good at what he does. 🙂

I just ordered a cheap 20.00 shipped battery from a dealer on ebay to replace the original in my 1st gen, and it works great. Came with a kit that made opening up the ipod as painless as opening up my pc case. I was pretty surprised at how easy it was to replace the battery myself. Now, I'm gonna replace my 5 gb drive with a 15 gb.

Edit, I must admit that the Chinese batter felt a bit flimsy compared to the orginal that I pulled. I didn't really care, though. If it works, it works.
