meh, i like mah iTunes

Me too. What do you guys dislike about it?

The unbelievable intrusiveness of Quicktime.
No, I don't want icons everywhere.
No, I don't want to "upgrade to Pro". Fvck off.
No, I really don't want a system tray icon.
No, I don't want you to steal my file associations.
And no, I do not want the goddamn crappy Quicktime player.

Quicktime. The New Real(R).

Not only do I not want QuickTime, I DONT want to sync my library of 80 gigs of mp3's onto my iPod.

*checks no to syncing*

WTH MY IPOD IS REFORMATTING?

And that's when I deleted iTunes and went back to ephpod/winamp.

Hmm, I will look into this...my 20gb ipod arrives later this week. I was looking for something that would allow me transfer music from my laptop AND my desktop without reformatting everything all the time. I'm surprised no one's cracked the firmware yet...we've got so many mods for xbox and playstation yet we're stuck with Apple's crap on the ipod. It'd be nice to have WMA/Ogg/FLAC support--nice, but not necessary.

A counsel of very important people met with me in my mansion in the woods next to abandoned Willshire Farms meat-packing plant in Witchetaw, Kansas, and we decide that the appropriate fix was warrented.

Anyone looking to buy mansion in the woods next to abandoned Willshire Farms meat-packing plant in Witchetaw, Kansas?

Dudes....you people must suck at using compters, otherwise you wouldn;t be complaining about such things.

he unbelievable intrusiveness of Quicktime.
?
No, I don't want icons everywhere.
Easy to fix. Heh, at least it isn;t like aol that hides icons in your favorites menu TWICE:p
No, I don't want to "upgrade to Pro". Fvck off.
It's a free version of a for-pay program. Deal with it.
No, I really don't want a system tray icon.
Easy fix.
No, I don't want you to steal my file associations.
I wouldn't want it to do so either. Fortunately it doesn't.

That said, realplayer does almost everything you mentioned and more:D

WRONG. This is the correct answer:

Foobar2000 & Winamp 2/5 [Using ASIO/Kernal Streaming] >>>> All other media players

What other media players can bypass the evil Windows kmixer that upsamples everything to 48KHz? Using ASIO or kernal streaming output, music quality is much better than what RealPlayer, WMP, or iTunes could ever output. Here is a guide on how to get the best quality music from your PC:

FAQ/Guide: Getting the Best Possible Sound Quality From Your PC

Besides, why do you think the audiophiles at Head-fi.com & HydrogenAudio.org prefer Foobar2000/Winamp anyway? ;)
