iPod Warrenty

I got the extended warrenty on my ipod photo - and I want to get a video. My Photo is having problems with the screen (when you look at it with polarized lenses i.e. sunglasses it is blotched like the lcd has leaked.) and ofcourse, as all iPods do - the battery doesn't hold a charge.

Sadly I purchased an iSkin from the store awhile ago with the iPod - and the plastic thign that connects to your belt left a dent in the back of the iPod - so im sure they will sue this as an excuse not to fix it.

Have any of you ever dealt with the Apple tech/support people - and any suggestions on how to get a new/refurbed iPod?
