Ipod Video Dock Connector Remote Adapter

I bought my brother-in-law an iBackpack. It's basically a backpack with a ipod remote connector built in to the main compartment and the controls and headphone jack are located on one of the backpack straps. But the remote connector looks like this and his ipod Video's dock looks like this.

Is there a adapter or converter available that will make this work?

nope. srry. that remote was for the older generation of ipods that had the remote connector near the headphone jack.

Yeah, I know. Seems like their would be a market for this type of adapter, since people would probably like to use their older accessories on their new 5G iPod.
