Ipod users: Does anyone use Anapod?

I don't have my iPod yet, I'm waiting to buy a 5G, but when I get my iPod, i'm using Anapod from the start. It's superior to iTunes from what i've read about it.

when i had my ipod i used anapod exculsively, itunes was not even installed on my system and it worked perfect. very fast and very nice that it integrates itself into the explorer shell.

it was easy to organize music and if you added a folder it would just create that folder as a playlist, not sure if the new itunes does that or not.

bottom line, anapod is a sweet program.

i tried it with my shuffle, it didn't seem to work so well. maybe it's only designed for the full-ipod models

I've not used Anapod, but I have used Notmad (Creative players) and Dudebox (Dell players). Both are great and much better than the Creative/Dell software that came with my players.

Not having an Ipod, though, it does seem like there are several free options for Ipod owners. The advanced features of the Red Chair software are nice, but it would be hard to justify paying for it if there is a freeware alternative that works almost just as well.

The latest iTunes has rendered Anapod useless IMO. You can now sync w/ Outlook, and it does the "playlist folders" thing.

iTunes is awesome; I don't see why so many people complain about it.

I totally agree. I've only had my Nano for a couple of weeks but I find iTunes an excellent piece of software and once I got used to the power and capabilities of smart playlists I was hooked.

In real-use, everyday usage terms I don't see one feature which Anapod has which iTunes can't - anyone want to enlighten me on Anapods killer feature?

Edit: It looks as if a number of features AnaPod is claiming to have have since been integrated into iTunes 5, its strange that they don't specify what version of iTunes they compare against!
