I can be flipping thru Coverflow or listening to a music and it will just cut out and send me back to the main menu. This is a 1st Gen Jailbroken with 2.2 firmware. I have a few apps installed - Winterboard, Sbsettings and a program to change my lockscreen (can't remember the name) it's a week old so I'm not sure if it's the iPod or something I did to it. I want to restore the firmware and see if that fixes it, as it seems to be doing it a lot now. I've had Coverflow crap out on me 5 times in a row. I don't want to loose my music. I manually sync so I have control over the songs on it. I have a lot of random songs and it would take me forever to sync it again.

The iTunes backup option just backs up the calendar etc not a list of the songs on it? I found a program called CopyTrans Pro but it doesn't support the iPod Touch :( And I can't find any program that supports a complete backup of a Touch. I'd love to be able to restore to the factory settings and not have to go thru and re-add 1,000+ songs again.

What are my options here, if any?

thanks.

Doesn't look like the program I'm looking for exists for a Touch, I found 3 and none will reverse sync stuff back to the Touch. Guess I gotta restore the old firmware and spend half my day trying to re-copy all the songs I spent so long organizing.

Oh well, it could be worse, I could own a Zune :D
