ipod touch 4th gen h.264 large files

Can anyone tell me if the latest ipod touch supports h.264 files larger than 4GB (64-bit MP4/MKV container)? My guess is it would have to since it supports 720P, but I would like confirmation before I paid that much for the 64GB version.

Thanks. I guess I'm going to have to find someone with a ipod R4 to get a definite confirmation but if the 4S supports it then thats a good sign. I'm tired of capping my filesize to 4GB just to stay compatible with my ipod.
