Ipod Shuffle? or Sony NW-E99?

Does the Sony actually support MP3 (finally!) or must you still transcode to its ATRAP format?

Just curious, since I :heart: my new Zen Xtra 30 GB player.
 
Between Apple and Sony... I'd choose Smith & Wesson between my eyes. Seriously, you can't find two worse companies with lower quality or more overpriced products.
