Ipod problems

Hey guys im having some trouble with my ipod. Its one of the older modles. My brother was using it and he says it just stopped working. All it shows on the screen is the apple logo. WHen i put it to charge it shows the same thing. And when i plug it into my computer to try to add songs it wont even show that its plugged in. Does anyone here know what could be the problem, and how i can fix it if possible. I would really appreciate it.

is it a first gen or newer? try resetting it.

i think if you hold down all the buttons at once it shoudl reset. or was it just FF, REW, PLAY and menu.

or just drain the battery out completely (leave it on), then recharge it full and try working it again. the ipod resets when you drain it down and then freshly charge it.

by buying a new 4th gen one... the first gens were bricks!
