Hi all,

I'm wondering what to do here. I live in a decent sized apartment but the living room is multi-purpose and a little difficult to arrange. Getting a proper home theater setup would be too cumbersome and I find we mostly just listen to music off an old ipod. So, I'd like to get an ipod/phone dock that will allow for a simple, clean and good way to listen to music off an ipod. However, I'd also like to be able to hook up a future LED TV to it and get decent sound. I don't need huge bass or anything at all excessive, just decent, clean sound in a small package.

What are my [best] options? Get a dock (and which one? and docks out there that actually look good?) or buy a receiver and two small speakers?
What are your thoughts? (please keep in mind this is for a simple living room setup, not a home theater)

Thanks.

I am not endorsing this particular product, just to give you an idea of the type of product.

I'm running something like that right now except it has additional speakers (I don't use them). It's an old unit that I inherited but I don't like the bulk and sound "effects". I need something smaller preferably that sounds cleaner.

In general, smaller = crappier sound.

Though bigger doesn't necessarily imply better sound ():)
