iPod owners be careful

dont leave it plug into your computer if your boot order is set to floppy cd hard disk because it tries to boot of your ipod and if your stupid like me you sit here for 10 minutes trying to figure out it wont go past verifying dmi pool data...

i just spent 10 minutes trying to figure out why i wasnt booting up until i pulled out my ipod to listen to it and i booted up

I figured as much, thats why I laughed. Besides everyone knows that any mp3 player will do that, not just the iPod.

I've never had that problem...I dunno why you do. My boot order is the same as yours, and my iPod is always plugged into my Firewire.

You sure you don't have a setting in your BIOS that checks for bootup on USB or something? (if your Ipod is plugged via USB that is)

That happened to me one time with a USB thumb drive I left in a back USB port and forgot about. It was driving me crazy forever until it finally dawned on me what the problem was.

Ten minutes? :roll:

We had this at a client's place, and I found and sorted this exact problem out in under twenty seconds. You fail at teh commpyootarrs.

Yeah I learned that since day 1. I was told if you use the USB drives in the back it would be different, for some reason.

i have an external hard drive that it never tries to boot off of. i also have a zen nano plugged in all the time that it never boots off of. its only done this on my pod
